CIT supports 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and charitable organizations registered through the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) in Canada only. All proposals should include the following information:
- Copy of 501(c)(3) or Charitable Registration Number
- Amount of funding requested
- Description of organization and programs
- List of Board of Directors
- History of past CIT support or CIT relationships
All grants are considered on a year-to-year basis. Support of an organization in one year does not guarantee repeat support for future years.
CIT does not support:
- Individuals
- Religious establishments
- Political or legislative organizations campaigns or candidates
- Memberships or dues for veteran, fraternal, conference or sports organizations
